Job Description

Flint Group is looking to add a Product Development Chemist to its team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new UV curable and waterborne ink and coating technologies, in the frame of the constantly changing regulatory and business environment. As well as ensuring all stake holders have the technical information needed to properly communicate with our customers. Having problem solving skills, the ability to multi-task and effectively plan and execute deliverables are key to being successful in this role.
Responsibilities:
Redesign and further optimize existing UV curable and waterborne ink and coating technologies, aligned with the customer needs with a focus on supporting International Key Accounts Develop new UV curable and waterborne ink and coating technologies, in the frame of the constantly changing regulatory and business environment Organize and execute lab activities (formulation, testing and planning of scale up of UV curable and waterborne inks & coatings) around specified customer support projects & activities Ensure that Customer, Sales, and Technical Service have all technical information needed to properly communicate with the customers Interface with Manufacturing, Sales, Product Management and Technical Service as required, utilizing data driven metrics to solve and implement solutions Maintain laboratory notebooks Interface with product management, sales, manufacturing and technical service personnel to support existing business and grow new business Plan and schedule all technical activities of a project(s) Demonstrate successful project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Qualifications:
This position requires a Master degree in chemistry, polymer chemistry or chemical engineering. 1 to 3 years' experience in the Narrow Web Industry, working for an ink or coating company specialized in UV curable and/or waterborne technology is a plus. Hands-on experience working in laboratory at academic or industrial level is a must have. The candidate should have experience working in a team environment. Strong written and verbal communications skills as well as a first experience in project management skills are required for this role.

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
