The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in synthetic and analytical chemistry, is comfortable working in a laboratory environment, and demonstrates strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Industrial experience is preferred but not required. The Scientist will work collaboratively with senior scientific staff to conduct laboratory experiments, analyze materials, document results, and support ongoing research and development programs. Responsibilities Perform organic synthesis and laboratory experiments according to established procedures and project requirements. Support the development and optimization of synthetic processes, including evaluation of reagents, catalysts, solvents, and reaction conditions. Perform analytical testing and assist with characterization of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using laboratory instrumentation. Operate laboratory instruments and equipment, including NMR, LC/MS, GC/MS, HPLC, ICPMS, CHN, KF, and TGA, as applicable to assigned projects. Analyze and interpret experimental and analytical data and communicate findings to senior scientific staff. Conduct literature and patent searches to support research and development activities. Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks, experimental records, and technical documentation. Assist with the preparation and revision of SOPs, analytical procedures, technical reports, and presentations. Follow laboratory safety practices and applicable regulatory requirements. Assist with the installation, operation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment. Support analytical method development and transfer for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. Communicate with scientific staff and equipment vendors as needed to support laboratory operations. Manage assigned experiments and priorities effectively while working independently and as part of a scientific team. Perform other laboratory and research-related duties as assigned. Qualifications BS or MS in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a closely related discipline with relevant industrial experience. Academic or practical experience in synthetic organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, process development, or pharmaceutical R D. Industrial laboratory experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with organic synthesis, reaction optimization, and analytical chemistry techniques. Ability to interpret experimental and analytical data. Experience working in a laboratory team setting. Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot routine issues. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments. Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with ChemDraw, scientific databases, or analytical interpretation software is preferred. Peptide chemistry experience is a plus.
