Job Description

Physical Chemistry Faculty Position Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry UNC Greensboro Assistant Professor-Tenure Track The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Physical Chemistry at the rank of Assistant Professor with an anticipated start date of August 2027. Research interests that tie directly into UNCG priorities of Energy, AI/New Technology, and/or Health/Medicine are preferred. A PhD in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or related field is required. Applicants should demonstrate a solid record of accomplishment in publications and should show promise for establishing an independent and externally funded research program. Applicants will be expected to mentor master's and doctoral research students, and to contribute to the department's long-standing strength in undergraduate research. Additionally, the successful hire will demonstrate teaching excellence at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. A competitive start up package will be provided.
