$70,000-$80,000 per year About the Position We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Analytical Chemist to join our supplement and nutraceutical manufacturing facility. This position will be responsible for developing, validating, and performing analytical methods used to evaluate raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), formulations, and finished products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with analytical testing and method development and will play a critical role in ensuring the identity, potency, consistency, and accurate dosing of our products from incoming materials through final release. Key Responsibilities Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for testing APIs and active ingredients for potency. Develop and perform analytical methods to evaluate formulations prior to manufacturing to confirm proper ingredient concentrations and accurate dosing. Test finished products to verify potency, content uniformity, and accurate dosing specifications. Establish appropriate analytical procedures, specifications, acceptance criteria, and testing protocols. Perform routine analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. Analyze and interpret analytical data and identify potential issues or trends. Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results and assist with root-cause investigations. Maintain accurate, complete, and traceable laboratory records and analytical documentation. Prepare and maintain analytical methods, SOPs, test procedures, and validation documentation. Assist with establishing and maintaining laboratory quality-control procedures. Work closely with the team to support new and existing products. Ensure analytical testing is performed accurately, consistently, and in accordance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements. Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure proper operation of laboratory instrumentation. Assist with method transfers and implementation of analytical procedures into routine quality-control testing. Support product development, manufacturing troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field . Professional experience in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, dietary supplement, food, or related manufacturing environments. Demonstrated experience developing analytical methods for potency testing of APIs or active ingredients . Experience testing formulations and finished products for accurate dosing and active-ingredient concentration . Strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles, sample preparation, calibration, data analysis, and laboratory quality practices. Experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC/UPLC, UV-Vis, GC, or other relevant techniques . Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity. Ability to independently troubleshoot analytical methods and laboratory testing issues. Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a GMP-regulated laboratory or manufacturing environment. Experience with method validation, verification, and transfer. Familiarity with USP or other applicable analytical standards and compendial methods. Experience with dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, botanical products, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, or other active ingredients. Experience with assay, content uniformity, dissolution, stability, or related dosage-form testing. Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and analytical data systems. Experience supporting regulatory or quality audits. What You'll Do in This Role This position is particularly important to our manufacturing process because analytical testing will be used to verify that the amount of active ingredient specified on the product formulation is actually present at the appropriate concentration . You will be involved throughout the product lifecycle: Raw Materials / APIs → Formulation Verification → Manufacturing → Finished Product Testing → Product Release Your analytical work will help ensure that products are manufactured consistently and that finished products meet established potency and dosing specifications. Compensation $70,000-$80,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is analytical, methodical, and comfortable taking ownership of laboratory testing. The successful candidate should be able to develop a method when an appropriate procedure does not already exist, troubleshoot unexpected analytical results, and clearly communicate findings. If you are an analytical chemist who enjoys hands-on laboratory work and wants to play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of nutraceutical products, we encourage you to apply.
