Entomology Materials Science Full Job Description Job Description:
InsectaPel is seeking a part-time Research Assistant (student) with expertise or training in Organic Chemistry / Entomology to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on in developing coating products infused with natural insect repellents for use in surface treatments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science, chemistry, or entomology and will contribute to research, product development, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the synthesis and characterization of new materials for insect repellent coatings Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate performance and durability of insect repellent coatings Analyze data and optimize formulations for enhanced product performance Maintain detailed records of experiments, results, and findings Assist in scale-up and commercialization efforts for new formulations Collaborate with senior personnel and engineers on research projects Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and best practices
Required Qualifications:
At least 1 year of study in Organic Chemistry, or Biology. Entomology would be a plus Hands-on laboratory experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team College/University students are eligible to apply
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with analytical chemistry and product analysis techniques
Compensation & Benefits:
