Research Assistant Req #913 Hamilton Township, NJ, USA Apply Share Job Description Posted Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 12:00 AM Genesis Drug Discovery and Development (GD3 or Company), a member of the Genesis Global Group, is a fully integrated CRO providing services to support drug discovery programs of our clients from target discovery through GLP tox studies. The GD3 portfolio includes services for assay development, synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry, in vitro ADME, DMPK/in-vivo pharmacology and safety toxicology. We are seeking a highly motivated chemist to join our sister company Venenum located in Hamilton, NJ. The successful candidate will contribute to the work of a multi-disciplinary community of scientists, supporting the development of novel therapeutics.
Responsibilities:
  • Under guidance of senior team members, perform analytical analysis on various instrumentation, including LC-MS, NMR, and HPLC (preparative and analytical).
  • Perform general instrument maintenance and learn to do basic troubleshooting on instruments.
  • Follow SOPs to manage our chemical compound collection for both catalog chemicals and client compounds, including registration of compound, weighing of compounds, preparing data sheets, labels and other documents.
  • Handle shipping and invoicing for compound sales, and keep good records in company database and accounting systems.
  • Respond to client inquires about compound purity, availability, SDS, etc.
  • The successful candidate will learn new techniques for support of chemistry division work after training, which may include running simple chemical reactions, or performing in vitro ADME assays such as solubility
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with 0 to 1 year experience.
  • Experience with LCMS and NMR, including data interpretation a plus.
  • Familiar with Chemdraw software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and an attention to detail are essential.
  • Must have ability to learn and acquire required skills as noted above.
  • Willingness to work both in laboratory and office setting on site.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work on deadlines.
