The QC Chemist is responsible for performing a variety of analytical and investigative tasks in a laboratory environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting the quality control process.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine and advanced analytical testing within a laboratory group or department, utilizing specialized equipment as needed. Operate and maintain instruments such as HPLC, GC, Karl Fisher, ICP, and particle size analyzers for raw material and product testing. Lead and participate in investigation activities related to laboratory results or processes. Ensure strict adherence to cGMP practices, data integrity, and good documentation standards in all laboratory activities. Conduct raw material testing and release, ensuring compliance with established protocols and specifications. Collaborate with team members to support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the laboratory setting. Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment, and work with various chemicals and materials found in a laboratory or manufacturing environment. Perform additional duties as assigned by department leadership, including shift work and potential weekend or holiday assignments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in physical sciences required; Master's degree preferred. Proficiency in English (spoken, read, and written) for scientific communication. Strong organizational, learning, and teaching skills for effective teamwork. Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets. Experience with Microsoft Office and scientific software applications. Working knowledge of analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, Karl Fisher, ICP, and particle size analyzers. Experience with inhalation products (DPI) is a plus. Ability to work standing or walking unassisted for most of an 8-hour shift and lift up to 10 kg as needed. Ability to wear personal protective equipment and work with laboratory chemicals and materials. Willingness to work assigned shifts, including possible weekends or holidays.
