Position Overview Our client is seeking an Explore Taste Organic Chemistry Lab Technician to join their innovative and multidisciplinary Taste & Wellbeing Science & Technology team in Cincinnati. This role will support chemists and scientists by conducting laboratory experiments, preparing samples and chemical compounds, performing analytical testing, and accurately documenting experimental results. This is a great opportunity for an experienced chemistry professional interested in working in a research-focused laboratory environment supporting taste and flavor science. Key Responsibilities Prepare, handle, and safely store organic chemical compounds and laboratory reagents. Assist chemists and scientists with laboratory experiments, synthesis, analysis, and sample preparation. Operate, maintain, and support troubleshooting of laboratory instruments, including:

HPLC GC IR

UV-Vis spectrometers Analytical balances Perform routine quality control testing and basic analytical procedures. Accurately record experimental data and maintain laboratory notebooks, reports, and documentation. Support troubleshooting of experiments and laboratory equipment issues. Monitor laboratory inventory and order supplies as needed. Follow laboratory safety protocols, chemical handling requirements, waste disposal procedures, and applicable regulatory guidelines. Maintain clean, organized laboratory workspaces and equipment. Collaborate with Research, Quality, and Production teams to support project timelines and objectives. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry or a related field. 3-5 years of experience working in an organic chemistry laboratory preferred. Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and chemical handling procedures. Experience with analytical laboratory instrumentation preferred. Strong attention to detail, organization, and record-keeping skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Skills Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) . Basic understanding of organic reaction mechanisms and laboratory techniques. Experience with laboratory software and data analysis tools. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Work Environment Primarily laboratory-based with required use of appropriate PPE. May involve handling hazardous chemicals and laboratory reagents. Requires standing for extended periods and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, research-focused laboratory setting.

Pay:

$29.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
