Job Overview Analytical Chemist:
Thursday-Sunday 6am - 4:30pm
Pay:
$22-$25 We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analytical Chemist to join our dynamic pharmaceutical laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting complex chemical analyses, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting quality control processes. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our products and uphold the highest standards of laboratory excellence. Duties Perform comprehensive analytical testing using techniques such as chromatography (HPLC, GC, LC-MS), spectroscopy (FTIR, UV-Vis, spectrophotometry), and microscopy to characterize raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. Conduct method validation and method transfer activities in accordance with ICH guidelines and FDA regulations to ensure analytical procedures are robust, accurate, and reproducible. Prepare samples meticulously through various sample preparation techniques to optimize analysis accuracy and precision. Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments including spectrophotometers, mass spectrometers, Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometers, and chromatography systems to ensure optimal performance. Execute routine quality control tests in compliance with CGMP and GLP standards, documenting all procedures accurately within Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Support laboratory equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration activities to uphold laboratory compliance and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on method development projects, stability studies, and regulatory submissions to meet project timelines and quality standards. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field with demonstrated laboratory experience in an FDA-regulated pharmaceutical environment. Proven expertise in analytical chemistry techniques including high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography (GC), mass spectrometry (MS), Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, and spectroscopic analysis. Strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), CGMP regulations, and ICH guidelines applicable to pharmaceutical laboratories. Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data recording and reporting. Skilled in sample preparation methods for complex biochemical analyses and spectroscopic techniques. Knowledge of laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration procedures, and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed protocols accurately while maintaining high productivity levels. Strong communication skills for documenting results clearly and collaborating effectively with team members across departments.
