Position Summary:
The Chemist focuses on the testing and release of raw materials, bulk and finished goods. Do YOU Possess These Skills and Attributes? To excel as Chemist, you should have: Basic knowledge in relevant scientific and technical fields related to product categories. Intermediate skills in oral, written, and presentation communication. Basic formulation, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Proficient in laboratory techniques.
Responsibilities:
Performing assays on raw materials, bulk and finished goods. Maintaining spreadsheets and laboratory notebooks, documenting sample preparation and verifying calculations. Preparing and maintaining standard solutions used in sample analysis. Performing method validations. Creation of HPLC methods for new projects. Out of Specification (OOS) investigation and documentation. Instrument troubleshooting. Preparation of Certificates of Analysis for bulk and finished goods. Using the Deacom inventory management system for the release/ movement of materials. Knowledge of GLP and GDP. Maintaining laboratory equipment and cleaning laboratory glassware. Assisting in tracking the inventory of laboratory supplies. Ability to be cross trained to perform other duties and assist in maintaining the laboratory workflow. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or scientific studies with a combination of HPLC experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily activities. Must be able to work independently.
