Holders of the Chemist I position will complete tasks such as: Performs routine preparation and analysis of various types of water, waste, soil, and tissue samples using several different types of instrumentation. Converts raw data to final results using data reduction programs and reviews raw data for errors. Performs routine maintenance on instruments. EEC participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
(AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age. Working Conditions Work is performed in a laboratory setting. Incumbent may be exposed to hazardous materials, substances, or compounds when performing chemical analysis, which may require utilization of safety measures. Field work may be required. Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in
KRS 18A.111.
