Chemist

The quality chemist is responsible for ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.

Key Functions:

Performing Chemical Analysis:

Conducting tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to verify they meet established specifications. This includes using various analytical techniques like chromatography (HPLC, GC), spectroscopy (UV-Vis, IR), and titration.

Operating and Maintaining Lab Equipment:

Setting up, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory instruments to ensure accurate and precise results.

Documentation and Reporting:

Meticulously recording all test data, observations, and results.

Troubleshooting:

Identifying and investigating any deviations from standard procedures or unexpected test results, often referred to as "out-of-specification" (OOS) results. Adhering to

Safety and Compliance:

Following strict safety protocols and industry regulations such as Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) .
