Job Description

Senior Analytical Scientist (ICP-MS) Dallas, TX | $52.00-$56.00/hr, based on experience Join a Surfaces and Materials Analysis Lab as a Senior Analytical Scientist specializing in trace and ultratrace metal analysis using ICP-MS and
HR-ICP-MS.
This role suits a scientist who wants technical ownership — developing methods, solving contamination issues, and setting the direction for how the lab tackles complex materials analysis.
What You'll Do:
Develop and validate analytical methods for chemicals and materials used in semiconductor/high-tech applications Perform trace and ultratrace metal analysis using ICP-MS and
HR-ICP-MS
Investigate customer contamination concerns and lead MDL studies Conduct statistical analysis and determine method uncertainty Maintain optimal instrument performance and support preventive maintenance Prepare analytical reports and communicate results directly to customers Train laboratory staff on new method implementation Manage large projects and provide technical direction to non-managerial staff Publish research and present findings at industry conferences Partner with sales and marketing on new analytical capabilities (data sheets, customer presentations)
What We Need:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science + 15 years of experience, OR Master's degree in Chemistry or related science + 7 years of experience, OR PhD in Chemistry or related science + 2-5 years of experience Demonstrated experience in metal analysis, acid handling, and complex sample preparation Proven ICP-MS method development experience Strong statistical analysis background Laser ablation ICP-MS experience highly desirable Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Understanding of analytical lab process flow and industrial/business context
Additional Requirements:
