  • month Contract role with one of our prestigious clients based out in Freeport, TX .

Depending on Experience Summary Supports Process chemistry development lab operations by conducting laboratory analyses and evaluating results, as needed, which provides critical data. Prepares samples and performs basic calibration, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and methods. Uses data systems to acquire data and monitor analytical system performance. Reports results to clients. Requires broadened technical skills in analytical scientific methods or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities. May act as an informal resource for team members with less experience. Responsibilities Duties Performs routine analyses. Collects samples according to the Sample Plan. Prepares basic calibration standards. Performs basic calibration and preventative maintenance of analytical systems. Evaluates validity of data, applies basic statistics, interpret results and takes appropriate action. Monitors analytical systems, identifies problems, conducts first-line troubleshooting and escalates as appropriate. Documents, communicates and archives analytical results and calibration data. Follows EH&S and operating discipline management system (ODMS) procedures and practices for work tasks. Suggests improvements to lab work processes and tools. Escalates non-routine requests to appropriate team member for follow-up. Experience Completion of Vocational Education or Upper Secondary Education (i.e. High School Diploma) plus laboratory, manufacturing or other related experience. Post Upper Secondary Education coursework in chemistry or related coursework. Core Responsibilities Support instrumental analysis for two key technologies within the process labs Perform analytical testing using: LCs (Liquid Chromatography) GCs (Gas Chromatography) Apply strong wet chemistry or instrumental analysis skills Follow rigorous analytical lab practices and maintain high-quality data standards Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of relevant laboratory experience Wet chemistry, instrumental analysis, or similar analytical lab work Not an entry level role

Preferred:
Background in R D analytical instrumentation, though not required Candidates should demonstrate: Strong appreciation for analytical rigor Ability to contribute quickly with minimal ramp up Solid foundational lab skills and familiarity with standard lab operations Candidate Expectations
  • Must be able to step into the role and make an immediate impact
  • Should bring practical experience that supports both instrumental and general analytical workflows
  • Fresh graduates without lab experience will not be considered Supplier Guidance Please prioritize candidates who:
  • Have 3+ years of hands-on analytical lab experience
  • Possess familiarity with LC/GC instrumentation
  • Understand analytical rigor and can adapt quickly to established lab processes
