R D Chemist I Purpose The R D Chemist I supports R D leadership through laboratory experimentation, sample preparation, testing, product characterization, and documentation. This position develops the laboratory skills and technical knowledge necessary to reliably execute defined R D activities. Job Duties & Responsibilities Prepare, test, and characterize product formulations and experimental samples. Conduct laboratory experiments and analytical testing according to defined plans and methods. Perform stability, corrosion, compatibility, and product-performance testing. Support product development, product improvement, cost reduction, and technical investigations. Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, data, and results. Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, chemical inventory, cleanliness, and waste handling. Follow applicable policies, SOPs, Work Instructions, Good Laboratory Practices, and safety requirements. Communicate results and observations to R D leadership and other R D personnel. Experience Industrial or laboratory experience is helpful but not required. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Fundamental knowledge of chemistry and laboratory practices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory safety. Ability to accurately follow experimental procedures and test methods. Basic analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently on defined assignments and effectively within a team. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline. Relevant experience may be considered as a substitution for education where appropriate.
