Job Description

ASSOCIATE
SCIENTIST, Blood Processing, Assay Development, MILWAUKEE, WI, Start date Oct 1, 2026. Interested in hands-on clinical assay work that directly supports patient-impacting diagnostics? Join an innovative biotech organization building a next-generation diagnostic platform, where you'll work with real clinical samples in a hospital setting, prototype instruments, and work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This is a 3-4 month, onsite contract role in Milwaukee WI.
Who you are:
BS or MS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, or a related field 2-5+ years of hands-on academic or industry experience in clinical, analytical, or assay development labs Experience handling clinical samples (blood, urine) and following GLP; CLIA/CAP or GMP exposure is a plus Prior coding is a plus, not required ie python and / or R. Valid passport and ability to travel to Canada for required training in April. What you'll do: Execute analytical and clinical experiments supporting assay development, optimization, and verification Prepare, process, and analyze up to 40-50 clinical blood samples per day across multiple instruments and prototypes Troubleshoot assay and instrumentation issues, document results, and communicate findings to project teams Why work here: Contribute to the development of a new diagnostic platform with real patient impact Gain exposure to the full assay lifecycle, from development through clinical evaluation Work onsite with collaborative laboratory technicians, laboratory director and engineers in a weekday schedule (Mon-Fri, ~8am-4pm) What does this position pay? Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education. The expected range for this role is $30-$42 per hour . Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience. #IND1
