Job Title:

R D Scientist Waterborne Paints and Coatings Responsibilities Formulate waterborne paints and coatings for consumer applications, including architectural and light industrial products such as roofing and direct-to-metal coatings. Develop waterborne coating formulations from scratch, selecting appropriate raw materials and optimizing performance for DIY and consumer use. Manage formulation projects end-to-end, from concept development through lab work, scale-up, and commercialization. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other functions to successfully scale formulations from the laboratory into full production. Serve as a technical lead for chemists and junior team members, providing guidance on formulation processes, project execution, and problem solving. Tutor and mentor junior chemists to build their technical capabilities and support their growth on projects. Ensure all products are formulated, tested, and positioned for true consumer use, with attention to performance, usability, and market expectations. Drive project execution by setting technical direction, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion of development milestones. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
