About us Tuscaloosa Research & Education Advancement Corporation is a nonprofit corporation affiliated with the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center. Experienced Research Coordinator is needed to handle activities related to federally funded and industry funded clinical trials. This position requires professional interaction with research participants, clinicians, partnering sites, and various local site staff. Masters degree in a science field and research experience preferred. Applicant must be a US Citizen. This is an exciting, impactful project working with Veterans. Specific responsibilities will vary depending on protocols, but some of the overall position responsibilities include:
- Directly handle recruitment activities, such as holding staff in-services, holding participant outreach events, creating and disseminating recruitment materials, i.e. posters, flyers, informational brochures, letters, and social media ads.
- Serve as pre-screening point of contact to assist in triaging referrals.
- Obtain participant informed consent and HIPAA and maintain proper filing of these documents
- Coordinate and conduct participant assessments at baseline and follow-up visits
- Track participant enrollment and retention
- Work with pharmacy to get the study medication dispensed to the participant (under prescriber's order and instructions)
- Report to the Local Site Investigator (LSI) any problems that may arise during the conduct of the study and their solutions.
- Execute the study in adherence to the IRB-approved protocol and adhere to GCP, FDA, and ICH guidelines.
- Complete and submit documents to IRB.
- Manage data entry and transmission for site specific data and resolve of all data queries.
