•The Clinical Research Coordinator serves as a vital member of the clinical team, supporting research activities while coordinating patient care and administrative functions. This individual will help facilitate patient appointments, coordinate procedures and diagnostic testing, ensure accurate documentation, maintain communication with patients and providers, and support research-related initiatives in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Clinical Research & Patient Coordination Support clinical research activities and assist with protocol-related processes. Coordinate patient appointments, screenings, procedures, and follow-up care. Communicate with patients regarding appointments, treatment plans, and care instructions. Maintain accurate patient records within EMR and research systems. Ensure research and patient-care activities are conducted in compliance with HIPAA and applicable regulations. Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, and external partners to support continuity of care. Scheduling & Administrative Support Schedule procedures, diagnostic testing, and specialty appointments. Obtain and coordinate insurance authorizations and required documentation. Manage incoming and outgoing patient communications professionally and efficiently. Assist patients with registration, intake documentation, and insurance verification. Request and obtain outside medical records and supporting documentation. Maintain daily tracking reports and administrative documentation. Care Coordination Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and families. Facilitate communication between patients, physicians, hospitals, imaging centers, and other healthcare providers. Coordinate referrals and ensure timely completion of required services. Assist with patient education and provide support throughout the care journey. Qualifications Required Minimum 1-3 years of experience in healthcare administration, patient coordination, clinical research, or a related field. Strong customer service and patient-facing experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and standard office technology. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Preferred Previous experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator, Research Assistant, Patient Care Coordinator, or similar healthcare role. Knowledge of medical terminology. Experience within oncology, hematology, or other specialty healthcare settings. Familiarity with insurance authorizations, referrals, and patient scheduling processes. Bilingual language skills are a plus. Additional Information Occasional travel between nearby clinic locations may be required.
