Leading university (Palo Alto, CA 94305- Hybrid) W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL 40 hours/week, 5 Month Assignment A leading university is seeking an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator to support clinical research studies by assisting with participant recruitment, data collection, regulatory documentation, specimen processing, and study coordination while ensuring compliance with research protocols and clinical standards.
Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator Responsibilities:
Coordinate participant scheduling, appointment reminders, screening, recruitment, informed consent activities, interviews, questionnaires, and study assessments while supporting subject enrollment and retention. Collect, extract, review, code, and maintain clinical research data, case report forms, regulatory documents, consent forms, subject logs, and study correspondence to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and protocol compliance. Perform protocol-related clinical activities, including obtaining vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, processing, packaging, and shipping after appropriate training and certification. Support daily study operations by ordering and maintaining equipment and supplies, processing participant compensation, assisting with post-study activities, and providing administrative support under the direction of the principal investigator and study coordinator. Review medical records, perform quantitative quality checks on study documentation, and collaborate with research staff to ensure accurate data collection, regulatory compliance, and successful study execution.Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator Qualifications:
1+ year of relevant clinical research or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Two-year college degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A bachelor's degree is highly preferred. Working toward certification(s) to perform basic patient measurements and tests, such as phlebotomy and EKG. General knowledge of medical terminology, experience supporting clinical research activities, proficiency in maintaining research documentation and data collection, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative research environment. Experience supporting oncology and treatment trials is preferred. Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.Shift:
