About Galenus Group Galenus Group is a clinical research, managed care, and population health company operating across Florida. Our research site runs industry-sponsored Phase I-III clinical trials with leading sponsors. The opportunity This is not a typical Medical Assistant position. We are hiring a bilingual Medical Assistant who wants to build a career in clinical research and grow into a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC). You will start by supporting our clinic and research team with patient care and administrative work, and we will train you step by step in protocol conduct, informed consent, source documentation, EDC data entry, and IRB and sponsor communications. If you are organized, comfortable with patients, and eager to learn, we will invest in you. What you will do Clinical and patient support Room patients, take vitals, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations and study visits. Perform phlebotomy and assist practitioners during medical and study procedures. Obtain patient records, lab results, and test results; close charts accurately and on time in the EMR. Administrative coordination Manage schedules for multiple physicians and study visits; coordinate appointments, office logistics, and events. Maintain organized, complete documentation using Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Workspace. Clinical research (with training provided) Support participant screening, recruitment, and follow-up under the supervision of a CRC. Learn to maintain source documents, regulatory binders, and EDC entries per ICH-GCP. Assist with specimen collection, processing, and shipment (IATA). Participate in monitoring visits, study start-up, and team meetings. Other Available to travel occasionally and to support outreach, screening, and community events as needed. What you bring Required Certificate or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical setting. Fully bilingual, English and Spanish (spoken and written). Phlebotomy competency. EMR experience and knowledge of medical terminology. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Workspace. Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred (we will train and pay for certification if you don't have them yet) GCP and IATA certification. Exposure to clinical trials or research settings.
