Job Description

Position Summary :
The Clinical Research Assistant supports clinical research activities at a private practice research site. This position supports day-to-day clinical research operations including potential participant identification and recruitment, informed consent support, study visit coordination, phlebotomy, regulatory documentation support, and communication with study leads. This position will also be responsible to support basic practice operations including answering phones, rooming patients, and document management.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Communicates with patients, families, providers, other offices, and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
  • Supports study participant recruitment, pre-screening, scheduling, and follow-up activities
  • Obtains and documents informed consent in accordance with study protocols
  • Performs phlebotomy and supports protocol-required sample collection, processing, documentation, and shipment
  • Collects, completes, and maintains accurate source documentation and study records
  • Enters and maintains study data
  • Updates patient schedule status in the EMR to facilitate communication of patient progression
  • Assists with closing duties at end of day including cleaning and stocking of rooms
  • Follows policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Maintains and ensures the security of all patient records
  • Is available to assist with other clinic duties as determined by need and at the direction of leadership
  • Attends trainings / meetings as required
  • Presents in a professional and respectful manner in dress, behaviors, and actions Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Rooms patients for appointments
  • Documents intake of patients thoroughly and accurately
  • Ensures cleanliness of patient exam rooms
  • Addresses routine information requests from patients as presented in calls or tasks or delegates to appropriate team members as needed
  • Monitors assigned bins from EMR
  • Other duties as assigned by the
Practice Manager Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
