Position Summary We are seeking a Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) to support clinical research studies led by Dr. Sarah Belcher in the College of Nursing with a primary focus on understanding and improving health outcomes among patients with cancer. Dr. Belcher is core faculty within the Center for Research Excellence in Supportive Care (CREST) at the James Cancer Center/Solove Research Institute. The Clinical Research Assistant will support research activities for observational studies and clinical trials by assisting with participant recruitment, enrollment, data collection, study visits, and research administration. Working under the guidance of investigators and research staff, the CRA will perform technical, operational, and administrative tasks following established protocols, institutional policies, and regulatory requirements. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to supportive care research while working collaboratively with interdisciplinary research teams. Key Responsibilities Supports the implementation and conduct of clinical research studies. Assists with participant recruitment, enrollment, scheduling, and retention activities. Collects, enters, and maintains research data and study documentation. Performs chart reviews, data abstraction, and study-related procedures according to protocol. Maintains regulatory files, participant records, and study tracking systems. Communicates with participants, investigators, and study team members to support study activities. Assists with study start-up, regulatory, and administrative activities. Performs other research-related duties as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or other medical field, or equivalent combination of education experience required. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in biological or social sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; 2-4 years experience in a clinical research capacity conducting clinical research studies preferred. Experience working with patients with cancer, cancer survivors, or supportive care populations is desirable. Familiarity with REDCap, electronic medical records, and research data collection preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines is beneficial. Clinical research certification (ACRP or SoCRA) is desirable but not required. Research and Scholarship- Clinical Research
