Position SummaryWe are seeking a Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) to join our high-volume Research Department within our ophthalmic practice. The Clinical Research Assistant will support the coordination and execution of clinical trials while providing compassionate, patient-focused care. This position is ideal for someone who is a go-getter, dependable, punctual, eager to learn, and committed to quality patient care. Prior clinical research experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Key ResponsibilitiesRecruit and screen potential study participants Coordinate patient visits according to study protocols Perform clinical and research-related procedures Collect, document, and maintain accurate research data Monitor research participants and ensure adherence to study protocols Follow Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and applicable regulatory and ethical standards Maintain positive working relationships with patients, site staff, and study sponsor representatives Maintain compliance with research Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Support the Clinical Research Coordinator and research team with other duties as assigned What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoys working with patients. QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required 2+ years of healthcare experience preferred, ideally in ophthalmology; clinical research experience is a plus but not required Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset Excellent interpersonal and patient-care skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability and willingness to learn new clinical procedures and research protocols Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment
