GENERAL OVERVIEW
Manages research projects via study protocol, regulatory requirements and institutional policy; performs the nursing process for the study participants and performs clinical and administrative activities in support of evidence-based practice.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, coordinates, and manages all activities related to specific clinical trials. (50%) Collaborates with the PI and other staff in the identification of potentially eligible patients. (15%) Assesses patients' knowledge and understanding of the clinical trial. (15%) Provides education to patient, family, and staff involved in clinical trials. (10%) Troubleshoots problems with support areas in fulfilling requirements of the research protocol. (5%) Ensures compliance with the IRB and all regulatory agencies. (5%) This position may support activities that are relevant to specific specialties or disciplines. In that case, any technical or specialized skills, knowledge or qualifications may be included as needed in jobs postings, performance goals, or competencies. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) 2 years in a nursing role or relevant patient-facing clinical research experience Experience with Windows based computer programs Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing 2 years as a research nurse
