Clinical Research Coordinator University of Minnesota - 4.1 Minneapolis, MN Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $75,000 a year 19 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications Teamwork Bachelor's degree Data management Attention to detail Organizational skills Computer skills Full Job Description Clinical Research Coordinator University of Minnesota School of Nursing/Masonic Cancer Center About the Job The research team led by Dr. Jovan Gwon at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to support an NIH-funded research project focused on e-cigarette cessation among young adults in rural communities. The CRC will play a key role in participant coordination, data collection, study management, and daily research operations in collaboration with the study team. Responsibilities (100%)
  • Recruit and consent study participants according to the study protocol
  • Schedule study activities and maintain communication with participants
  • Administer online assessments and support data collection
  • Coordinate shipment, tracking, and receipt of biological sample collection kits
  • Facilitate the submission of biological samples to a professional laboratory
  • Maintain study records, documentation, and regulatory materials
  • Ensure adherence to study protocols and support day-to-day research operations
  • Lead regular project meetings and provide timely updates on study progress.
  • Collaborate with the research team to support successful implementation and completion of the study
  • Perform other project-related administrative, logistical, and operational duties as needed.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple study activities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with study participants and research team members
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a research team
  • Proficiency with computer applications and electronic data collection systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with clinical research, participant recruitment, informed consent, and/or research coordination
  • Experience working with human research participants and maintaining confidentiality of participant information
  • Experience with behavioral research, intervention studies, or NIH-funded research projects
  • Experience with online survey platforms or electronic data capture systems
  • Experience coordinating biological sample collection, shipment, and laboratory processing
  • Familiarity with IRB protocols and human subjects research procedures
Anticipated Start Date:
As soon as possible, with flexibility for a Fall 2026 start depending on the candidate's availability and the hiring process.
Compensation:
Salary will be determined in accordance with University of Minnesota policies and will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
Appointment:
The initial appointment will be for one year, with renewal for an additional year or longer considered based on performance, availability of funding, and the needs of the research program. Candidates who are able to make a minimum two-year commitment are preferred.
Work Environment:
This is primarily an on-campus position, and regular on-campus presence is expected. Remote work may be accommodated on a limited basis, as appropriate and in consultation with the PI. The CRC will have access to dedicated office space, a laptop and other necessary equipment, and the institutional and research resources needed to support day-to-day study operations and successful completion of the project.
