Apex Cardiology is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Research Assistant/Administrative Assistant to support clinical research activities and the day-to-day administrative operations of the practice. The ideal candidate will have medical knowledge or healthcare experience , preferably with previous clinical research experience , and the ability to work independently while also providing administrative support to the Practice Manager. This position will have a varied role and will periodically assist with front desk/reception duties when needed. Key Responsibilities Clinical Research Assist with clinical research projects and studies. Collect, organize, and maintain research data and documentation. Assist with chart reviews and medical record data collection. Maintain accurate research files and study documentation. Assist with preparing reports, spreadsheets, and research-related materials. Follow study protocols, clinic policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. Communicate with physicians, research personnel, patients, and outside organizations as needed. Administrative Support Provide administrative support to the Practice Manager. Assist with correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, forms, and other office documentation. Assist with maintaining office records and files. Assist with special projects and other duties assigned by the Practice Manager. Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and business information. Front Desk Coverage Periodically provide coverage for the front desk/reception area. Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Answer and direct telephone calls. Assist with patient check-in and check-out when needed. Schedule and confirm appointments. Assist with obtaining and verifying patient information. Provide general administrative support to the front office team.
Qualifications Required:
Healthcare or medical office experience preferred. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented.
Preferred:
Previous clinical research experience. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR). Experience with clinical documentation or medical chart review. Experience working in a physician practice or cardiology setting. Knowledge of research documentation and regulatory requirements.
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
