A Clinical Investigator works on a clinical trial, and is responsible for ensuring that an investigation is conducted according to the signed investigator statement, the investigational plan, and applicable regulations; for protecting the rights, safety, and welfare of subjects under the investigator's care; and for the control of drugs under investigation. The Clinical Investigator must also meet requirements set forth by the FDA, EMA or other regulatory body. The qualifications must be outlined in a current resume and readily available for auditors.

Job Description
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology, is seeking a faculty member specializing in the treatment and care of patients with Lymphoid Malignancies. This position will cover patients in Clements University Hospital by attending on the myeloma/lymphoma/CAR-T/Auto SCT service and managing patients with lymphoid malignancies for both cellular therapy and non-cellular therapy patients in the Simmons Cancer Center outpatient clinic. Applicants must have an M.D. degree or equivalent from an approved LCME medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program from an ACGME-accredited program. Candidates must be eligible for Texas medical licensure, be board-certified in Internal Medicine, and board-certified/eligible in Hematology Oncology. The level of appointment will be commensurate with applicable experience. It is expected that the candidate will also participate in clinical patient care and the teaching and training of medical students, house staff, and fellows, and be actively engaged in clinical and translational research.
