Job Description
Clinical Research Recruitment Coordinator, SIVS Operations Research (Galveston)

Minimum Qualifications:
- + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 1 year related experience.
- A Clinical Research Recruitment Coordinator will be primarily responsible for recruiting patients for current and upcoming clinical trials through the use of several tools.
Upon notice of a selected study, a Clinical Research Recruitment Coordinator must thoroughly understand the Protocol and Inclusion/Exclusion criteria of the study, determine the specific patient population which needs to be reached, and develop a recruitment plan with the help of the research team, then execute that recruitment plan.
- Job Duties:
- + Based on the protocol and criteria of the study, determine the specific patient population which needs to be reached.
+ Work with the research team to develop and execute the recruitment plan.
+ Recruit patients for current and upcoming clinical trials.
+ Prepare presentations of research studies to communicate the essential information in layman's terms.
+ Design and implement community engagement/research awareness activities including research central events and attend health promotional fairs to promote research.
+ Work with graphic designer and UTMB Marketing & Communications to create recruitment flyers, brochures, advertising for clinical research and to improve access and visibility of approved advertisements to potential subjects.
+ Assist researchers in planning and implementing recruitment strategies for their research studies including distribution of "dear doctor" letters and use of social media.
+ Comprehend clinical research protocols with an emphasis on inclusion/exclusion criteria as well as HIPAA compliance, human subjects research regulations, and Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
- Equipment:
- Standard office equipment.
- Working Environment/Location of Position:
- Standard hospital, clinical, laboratory and/or office environments. Will be required to travel approximately 75% of the time using personal vehicle. Must have valid driver's license. Will be reimbursed for mileage.
- Salary Range:
- ($44,000 - $55,000) Commensurate with experience.
