A Clinical Investigator works on a clinical trial, and is responsible for ensuring that an investigation is conducted according to the signed investigator statement, the investigational plan, and applicable regulations; for protecting the rights, safety, and welfare of subjects under the investigator's care; and for the control of drugs under investigation. Job Description Assoc/Full Professor - Division Chief, Hematology & Oncology Lubbock 44866BR Position Description Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is seeking an accomplished, visionary physician-leader to serve as Chief of the Division of Hematology & Oncology in the Department of Internal Medicine. This candidate will also serve as the Medical Director of the University Medical Center (UMC) TLC Foundation Cancer Center. TTUHSC is nationally recognized for innovative research, education, and patient care. UMC is a 500-bed public, academic medical center with a catchment area and resulting influx of 9,400 transfers from 157 counties across 260,000 square miles, the only Level I Trauma Center between Dallas and Albuquerque, the only verified Burn Center between Dallas and Phoenix, and the primary teaching hospital of TTUHSC. Together, they anchor a rapidly expanding cancer enterprise serving West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. A Career-Defining Opportunity The selected leader will assume a significant leadership role, anchored by UMC's new 124,000 sq. ft. comprehensive academic cancer center, which opened on April 20th, 2026.
