Environmental Specialist 1#26-21731 Calera, AL Onsite Job Description A bachelor's degree in biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required. Candidates should have one to five years of experience in environmental sampling and compliance. The Level 1 Environmental Specialist assists with environmental compliance, regulatory affairs, and sustainability initiatives. This role involves collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, minimize environmental impacts, and support sustainable practices. Basic knowledge of environmental regulations, project management skills, and the capacity to collaborate on environmental matters within the organization are necessary. Qualifications include familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes; experience operating power boats and watercraft; ability to work as part of a team on multiple projects; capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making skills; effective communication abilities; and attention to detail.
