Qualification:

A bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, environmental science, or a related field, with a minimum of 15 semester hours of chemistry preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work safely and identify, report, and support corrective actions for unsafe working conditions. Experience utilizing analytical reference methods and instrumentation to perform analyses is preferred. Experience with quality control requirements for analytical methods. Knowledge in EPA, ASTM, Standard Methods and other reference standards and their application is required. Ability to use technical standard operating procedures to perform analyses. Ability to write technical standard operating procedures for laboratory analyses to reflect requirements of reference standards and methodologies. Ability to interface with a variety of internal/external work groups and customers. Demonstrated attention to detail is required. Ability to understand technical procedures to evaluate sample data. Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation issues.
