Role Description The Environmental Scientist is a full-time, on-site role located in Huntsville, Alabama. This position involves conducting field investigations, including site assessments, sampling, and data collection for environmental projects. The role includes performing environmental assessments, conducting wetland delineations and evaluations, meeting with regulatory agencies, and preparing technical reports and documentation in alignment with regulatory standards. The Environmental Scientist collaborates with engineers and other professionals to provide environmental consulting support, contributes to project planning and permitting activities, and participates in client meetings as needed. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and supporting multiple projects simultaneously. Qualifications Bachelor's of science degree or higher in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field. Strong background in Environmental Science, with the ability to interpret environmental data and regulations. Experience in field work, including site inspections, sampling, and data collection under varying environmental and weather conditions. Knowledge of Wetlands identification, delineation, and related regulatory requirements. Familiarity with federal and state environmental regulations and permitting processes. Proficiency in technical writing, data analysis, and use of common environmental field and laboratory equipment. Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple assignments with attention to detail. Familiarity with GIS software is a plus. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for field assignments. Previous experience in consulting or engineering environments is preferred but not required.

From $63,000.00 per year
