Responsibilities Conduct habitat restoration activities including invasive plant management, native planting, and soil stabilization. Operate ground maintenance and landscaping equipment such as chainsaws, power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery safely and efficiently. Perform tree care tasks including trimming, climbing, and tree removal to promote healthy forest growth and safety. Apply pesticides and herbicides following strict safety protocols to control invasive species and protect native plants. Lead or assist with construction projects related to habitat enhancement, including installing erosion control measures or fencing. Conduct Weed removal via hand pulling and string trimming. Qualifications Prior experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or groundskeeping with knowledge of natural resource management practices. Strong understanding of ecological restoration principles, invasive plant management, and forest management practices. Hands-on experience with chainsaws, power tools, hand tools, climbing techniques, and tree trimming or removal. Knowledge of pesticide application procedures and safety protocols for pest control activities. Valid driver's license with experience driving in rural or remote areas; commercial driving certification is a plus. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, outdoor work in various weather conditions, and maintenance work on equipment. Excellent plant identification skills along with a good understanding of horticulture principles.
