This position involves regular interaction with patients of varying ages, treatment needs, and backgrounds, ensuring a dynamic and engaging workplace. Key Responsibilities Administer physical therapy treatments per the plans developed by supervising Physical Therapists, including exercises and modalities to enhance patient recovery. Continuously observe and document patient progress in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, providing timely updates to the supervising PT to adapt treatment plans as needed. Educate patients on correct exercise techniques and therapeutic activities to promote self-management and independence in their rehabilitation. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all therapy equipment is safe, functional, and properly sanitized for patient use. Actively participate in team meetings and case discussions, contributing insights and observations from patient interactions to optimize care strategies. Develop strong rapport with patients to foster trust and motivation, helping them engage in their treatment and recovery process. Patient Population / Client Focus At Senior Flex Therapy Center, our patient population includes individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or dealing with sports-related injuries. Our approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient, helping them rebuild strength, enhance mobility, and regain independence through personalized therapy interventions. Qualifications Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license issued by the California Board of Physical Therapy. Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program that includes clinical experience. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and instruct patients during therapy sessions. A detail-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment. Preferred Experience Previous experience working in outpatient physical therapy settings, though new graduates are encouraged to apply as we offer comprehensive training. Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Familiarity with EMR systems to enhance documentation efficiency and patient care continuity. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
