Operations include resource management tasks such as beach nourishment, dredging, marine debris removal and hazard mitigation. This is a hands-on fieldwork position that will lead communications, permits drafting and reviews, project management and mapping, equipment-compliance activities, grant oversight, and GIS application management. JOB REQUIREMENTS

for Environmental Scientist III Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in Life, Physical, or Applied Science or related field. Two years' experience in analyzing and evaluating scientific data. Two years' experience in interpreting environmental laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures. Two years' experience in technical report writing. Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met. One year experience in creating and editing geodatabase features and attributes using ESRI products. One year experience in operating outboard and inboard watercraft vessels.
