Lumenor Consulting Group is in search of a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Environmental Planner/NEPA Specialist to join our growing Environmental team. This candidate will be an integral part of our growth strategy and must be willing to perform work both in the office and in the field.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting field and office efforts, including o NEPA Surveys for Community Resources o
NEPA/GEPA
documentation o Early Coordination o Public Involvement/Community Engagement o Other field efforts as requested- Assist with the completion of documentation and technical aspects of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) / Georgia Environmental Policy Act (GEPA) or other state environmental processes
- Support Senior Environmental Specialists in environmental documentation
- Assist in the development of scopes and budgets for environmental tasks
- Data entry and tracking of project statuses and schedules from concept development through agency clearance
- Manage/adhere to field safety efforts
- Follow quality program for project deliverables
- Other duties as assigned

- Bachelor's or higher degree in relevant field (environmental sciences, natural sciences, public policy, urban geography, ecology, history, or other relevant field)
- 1+ years' experience in relevant profession
- Demonstrated knowledge of NEPA process for federal aid projects with experience completing sections of or entire NEPA documentation
- Linear transportation or infrastructure experience - DOT experience, federal transit and/or rail
- Strong technical and scientific writing skills with experience preparing environmental reports
- Experience with public involvement and engagement
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
- Environmental Justice analysis experience
- Working knowledge of GIS
- Experience in meeting with and conducting consultations with federal and state agencies
- Ability to understand and interpret preliminary and final roadway or construction plans
- Effective communication with clients and ability to foster a positive working relationship with the client
