You will inspect contents of reguled waste containers to ensure compliance with regulions, installion management plans, and permits. You will transfer wastes from one container to another or lab pack as required due to deteriored containers or incompible wastes. You will prepare and submit all required paperwork, review and track all waste shipping paperwork including 1348s, manifests, and Land Disposal Restriction Forms to ensure timely receipt and reguled installs. You will perform weekly reguled inspections of the HWSF and any associed storage sites and maintain files of internal inspections complying with regulions. Qualificions Your resume must demonstre least one year of specialized experience or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the prive or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstre the following: 1) Demonstred understanding of hazardous merial properties, chemical compibility, and waste stream characterizion protocols. 2) Solid working knowledge of and ste/local environmental regulions regarding the storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous merials. 3) Inspecting, documenting, labeling, and packing hazardous waste for transport. 4) Apply knowledge by provide informion of hazardous merials properties to the Installion Environmental Program Director (IEPD). 5) Opering varied automotive, merials handling equipment including a forklift operor license. DEMANDS- Work requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and ladders, walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. Will use hand-trucks and other type of merial handling equipment to move, load, and unload large drums and various size containers from trucks and environmental areas. Work involves recurring lifting or moving of moderely heavy items such as DOT 55-gallon and 80-gallon drums, triwalls, boxes, or large awkward size containers, or carrying objects up to 50 pounds. Required to wear personal protective equipment and merial handling equipment th requires physical stamina to work in a he stressed environment.
