Round Mountain, NV, USA, Job Summary Under the direction of the Metallurgy Supervisor, this person will learn entry-level metallurgy project tasks while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross' values. Essential Functions 1. Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, confidentiality and code of conduct. 2. Meets or exceeds established performance expectations set by management. 3. Consistently exercises discretion and judgment in job performance. 4. Works without risk or harm to self and others. 5. Punctuality and regular attendance required. 6. Helps develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above. 7. Performs other related functions as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications and Skill Requirements 1. Responsible to manage the RMGC Environmental Health and Safety Management system in his/her areas of responsibility. 2. Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills. 3. General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of milling and maintenance operations. 4. Working knowledge and skill with P.C. utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software. 5. Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management. 6. Ability to work independently and also as a member of the management team. 7. Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills 8. Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis. 9. Requires valid driver's license. 10. Minimum of 2 years towards metallurgy or related Bachelor's degree and 0-2 year metallurgy experience. 11. Strong communication skills. 12. Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative. 13. Hard working Team Player. 14. Multilingual skills a plus. Health, Safety, and Environmental Requirements- Adheres to all safety and environmental considerations.
