Job Summary:
Join our team and play a key role in supporting exceptional patient care as an Environmental Services Dispatcher . In this position, you will coordinate daily and discharge cleaning activities, monitor bed tracking systems, and support efficient patient flow by ensuring timely completion of Environmental Services requests. Working closely with clinical and support teams, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities include dispatching and prioritizing service requests, coordinating staff assignments, conducting quality checks, and maintaining records in systems such as TMA and AssetWorks. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and possesses strong communication and computer skills. They thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and are committed to supporting operational excellence and a positive patient experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree and three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Environmental Services experience. Working knowledge of DNV and Department of Health (DOH) standards. Knowledge of regulated medical waste requirements administered by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). Familiarity with infection prevention and control standards established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Experience working in a unionized environment. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
