1st Shift Position Overview We are seeking a Lab Technician to support laboratory testing and coatings-related projects in a hands-on industrial lab environment. This position is responsible for performing prescribed testing, operating laboratory equipment, accurately documenting results, and working with team members to keep testing schedules on track. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain or expand their laboratory experience within the coatings industry. Key Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing using prescribed test methods and procedures. Demonstrate a basic understanding of coatings, laboratory equipment, and computing tools used to capture and record data. Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments. Accurately document laboratory results and technical information. Maintain an up-to-date electronic laboratory notebook and/or project folders in accordance with ISO standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure testing schedules and project timelines are maintained. Manage assigned responsibilities and prioritize daily duties to meet project goals. Follow all security regulations and laboratory safety guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work effectively under moderate supervision. Perform additional laboratory duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of laboratory testing procedures and equipment. Comfortable using computers to capture, record, and maintain laboratory data. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow established testing methods and procedures. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to collaborate effectively within a laboratory team. Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation. Commitment to following laboratory safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment.
