Job Description

Job Description The Certified Health Care Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Oklahoma City, OK. The individual in this role will oversee and coordinate environmental services operations within healthcare facilities, including ensuring cleanliness, safety, and infection prevention in patient care and support areas. Daily responsibilities include supervising environmental services staff, implementing and monitoring cleaning protocols, managing supplies and equipment, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. The CHESP will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support patient and staff safety, contribute to training initiatives, and participate in quality improvement and audit activities. This role requires a detail-oriented approach, consistent communication with stakeholders, and adherence to healthcare environmental standards. Qualifications Candidates should possess healthcare-related skills, including Healthcare knowledge and familiarity with Medicine practices relevant to environmental services in clinical settings. Candidates should possess emergency and clinical support skills, such as EMT experience or exposure to emergency medical environments. Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with clinical staff, environmental services teams, and leadership. Candidates should possess Training skills, including experience providing or supporting staff training on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and infection prevention. Relevant qualifications such as CHESP certification or equivalent healthcare environmental services certification are highly beneficial. Experience working in hospitals, clinics, or other healthcare facilities, particularly within environmental services or facilities management, is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of infection control standards, OSHA regulations, and Joint Commission or similar accreditation requirements is advantageous. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in healthcare, environmental services management, or related fields is a plus. Ability to work on-site in Oklahoma City, OK, follow established procedures, and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
