THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)". Duties Help This position is loced the Brigade (BDE) level in an IRC funded position. The Sexual Assault Response Coordinor (SARC) is the single point of contact to coordine response activities when a sexual assault is reported within their area of responsibility (AOR). Responsible for assigning, monitoring, managing, and documenting victim assistance and advocacy activities performed by the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Victim Advoces (VA) the tactical (e.g., command) level, SARCs will serve as team leads for SAPR VA teams. SARCs are authorized to perform sexual assault victim advoce duties and will provide a non-clinical response th is trauma-informed, gender-responsive, culturally competent, and recovery-oriented. Incumbent notified of all reports of sexual assault within their AOR. SARCs will report to, be supervised, and evalued by, and have direct and unimpeded access to the Supervisory Principal SARC. SARCs will also have direct and unimpeded access to the Commander when acting on behalf of the Supervisory Principal SARC or when a victim is experiencing a safety issue. Work involves supervising or performing work required to manage or direct one or more programs, including approprie supporting social science service organizions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

1-year specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade level.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES

1. Within 60 days of appointment to a Position of Trust and Modere Risk; the employee must have a favorable completion and award of a Tier 3 background investigion and continuously maintain as directed by DoD and NGB to conduct duties and responsibilities as a SAPR Professional. In accordance with governing regulions, additional checks performed on a recurring basis. Incumbents in these positions are required to self-report civilian arrests, the filing of criminal charges, and/or convictions of any criminal offense to their supervisors and security office. 2. Within six (6) months of appointment, must gradue from required SAPR training courses and be awarded the DoD Sexual Assault Advoce Certifice. An active D-SAACP certificion must be maintained for this position. 3. Incumbent must maintain an active D-SAACP certificion in accordance with (IAW) Section 584 of Public Law 112-81 and DoD Instruction (DoDI) 6495.03 as a condition of employment. In the event th D-SAACP certificion expires, is suspended or is revoked, the individual is not authorized to serve in any SAPR position or perform SAPR duties until D-SAACP certificion is reinsted. Failure to maintain certificion may result in disciplinary and/or adverse action up to removal from federal service. 4. Incumbent must be able to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays, on an on-call or rotional basis. The on-call or rotional stus requires th SAPR VA work hours could vary, to include a requirement to be available 24/7, to respond to calls received via the helpline, from military or civilian law enforcement or from the military trement facility or local hospital. 5. This position may require temporary duty (TDY) business travel up to 25% of the time. Must possess a valid driver''s license and have the ability to opere a motor vehicle should the need arise to opere a government vehicle/motor pool vehicle. May require travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportion as approprie to perform temporary duty assignments. 6. This is a Testing Designed Position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing. Pre-employment drug testing and participion in random drug testing is a condition of employment.
