The TMG Development program is a 12-month program for new college graduates in the TMG organization. Texas Instruments is seeking an Environmental Specialist responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring company environmental programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental health and safety regulations as well as various other duties.

These include:

Verify compliance with Environmental regulations and company standards, and ensure all necessary programs and records are prepared and maintained according to established guidelines. Conducts training in emergency response, hazardous material handling, industrial hygiene and life safety Performs diverse technical duties associated with environmental regulatory compliance testing and reporting Determines data collection techniques, equipment requirements and sampling methods for industrial chemical, biological and sewage waste streams, water samples and air products Coordinate and perform workplace risk assessments and routine environmental audits, including recommended corrective actions. Maintain the site in a state of readiness for internal and external audits. Work with cross functional organizations to improve and develop effective and sustainable solutions for environmental challenges, risks, requirements and policy goals. Responds to emergencies and investigates environmental accidents, including root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action. Completes required federal, state and local government reports relating to environmental. Texas Instruments will not sponsor job applicants for visas or work authorization for this position.

Minimum requirements:

Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Safety Health & Environment or equivalent. Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher Preferred qualifications: Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. Strong presentation skills. Working knowledge and practical experience in environmental regulations, codes, and guidelines. Strong ethical behavior, customer service oriented and proactive. Pursue excellence, innovation and continuous improvement. Good planning and execution, analytical thinking & problem solving.
