Back Environmental Compliance Scientist Environmental Engineer Contract 11639 Sep 29, 2026 Houston , TX Environmental Compliance Scientist Join our team in Houston, TX, as an Environmental Compliance Scientist and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our environment while supporting the smooth operation of a prominent petroleum marine terminal. If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for environmental stewardship, and are eager to contribute to critical compliance activities, this is the opportunity for you. As an integral part of our operations, you will support air, water, and waste reporting efforts, ensuring our facility meets all environmental regulations. Your responsibilities will include collecting and processing reports for environmental permits, collaborating across departments like Operations, Scheduling, and Maintenance, and conducting site inspections. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, timeliness, and the ability to handle multiple reporting tasks with precision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report management is essential, as is the ability to work safely in an industrial environment with personal protective equipment.
Required Skills:
1 to 3 years of experience in environmental compliance or related field Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-departmental teams Experience with report collection, processing, and follow-up Nice to
Have Skills:
TWIC card or willingness to obtain one Experience supporting air, water, and waste reporting Knowledge of environmental permits and regulations in the petroleum industry
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline Prior experience in a petroleum or industrial environmental setting
Other Requirements:
