We are seeking a motivated Environmental Scientist to join our growing environmental compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to expand their expertise in hazardous waste management, environmental regulations, sustainability initiatives, and data-driven compliance programs. You'll work alongside experienced environmental professionals while gaining valuable exposure to national environmental compliance programs and regulatory requirements. This position is primarily office-based and offers opportunities to collaborate with clients, suppliers, regulators, and multidisciplinary project teams. What You'll Do Support environmental compliance programs involving hazardous waste, regulated waste, RCRA, and non-RCRA waste management. Analyze environmental data, identify trends, and develop practical compliance solutions. Manage waste profiles, review documentation, and ensure regulatory accuracy. Investigate and resolve data discrepancies while maintaining high-quality records and reporting. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and clients to support environmental compliance activities. Assist with communications and reporting to regulatory agencies. Contribute to process improvements and help streamline environmental compliance workflows. Work independently and collaboratively to meet project schedules, budgets, and client expectations. Support and mentor entry-level staff when needed. Stay current with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and industry best practices. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline. 2-4 years of environmental compliance or related experience. Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and SharePoint. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience with RCRA, hazardous waste, regulated waste, and non-RCRA waste compliance programs. Waste profiling and environmental data management experience. Experience communicating with regulatory agencies. Background in environmental reporting, auditing, or compliance management.
