APTIM currently has a career-growth opportunity for a junior level Environmental Scientist to support site investigation, characterization, and remedial actions at environmentally impacted sites throughout the United States. Work duties may include the design, installation, and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells, subcontractor oversight, collection of samples from various environmental media for laboratory analysis, and the implementation and maintenance of remedial systems. Strong interpersonal skills are a must, including the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both written and verbally, to all project team members including client representatives, regulators, and colleagues alike.Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Collection, documentation, and interpretation of field data for management review and subsequent incorporation into project documents Work collaboratively in a team environment, provide input on technical, project, and safety issues Ensures conformance to applicable codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures Applies education, knowledge, and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations Ensures conformance to applicable technical standards as well as company policies and procedures Work collaboratively in a team environment, provide input on technical, project, and safety issues Perform all assigned tasks in strict accordance with APTIM Safety Policies and Procedures Occasional overnight travel to other project sites in the general geographic area may be requiredBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a Scientific Discipline (Geology, Environmental Science, etc.) 0-3 years of relevant industry experience Valid Driver's License with Clean Driving Record required Possess or have ability to readily obtainOSHA HAZWOPER
certification Ability to wear proper PPE for work on hazardous waste sites; lifting and physical work will be required Must be able to work in the field in all types of field conditions/weather Willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends, to meet project deadlines. AboutAPTIM APTIM

Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
