Job Description

We have an opening for a Quality Control position working at a company in Athens, AL that manufactures pressure-treated lumber products. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement. •
THIS POSITION REQUIRES COMPUTER SKILLS WORKING IN A LAB ENVIRONMENT
•Skills/Qualifications Must be available to work 10-hour shifts. Must be able to operate an industrial drill. Must have proven computer skills in a workplace environment. Must be capable of working an entire work week on a consistent basis. Ability to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions. Ability to lift 50 lb. unassisted. Punctuality and dependability. Duties/Responsibilities Drill core samples from lumber products and grind them into samples prior to testing. Use specialized lab equipment to test/analyze the integrity of the wood grain/fiber and its chemical content. Store and maintain test results on computer. Make multiple trips between the testing lab and lumber treatment areas during a 10-hour shift. Maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
