An Environmental Technician assists with testing and sampling or monitoring needed for environmental clean-up efforts or projects to mitigate environmental pollution. Assists environmental engineers or environmental scientists. Collects air, water or soil samples, operates field test equipment and conducts laboratory research. Coordinates work at sites with contaminated soil or water, or hazardous waste clean-up sites.

Job Description
THIS POSITION REQUIRES COMPUTER SKILLS WORKING IN A LAB ENVIRONMENT
•Skills/Qualifications Must be available to work 10-hour shifts. Must be able to operate an industrial drill. Must have proven computer skills in a workplace environment. Must be capable of working an entire work week on a consistent basis. Ability to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions. Ability to lift 50 lb. unassisted. Punctuality and dependability. Duties/Responsibilities Drill core samples from lumber products and grind them into samples prior to testing. Use specialized lab equipment to test/analyze the integrity of the wood grain/fiber and its chemical content. Store and maintain test results on computer. Make multiple trips between the testing lab and lumber treatment areas during a 10-hour shift. Maintain a clean and orderly working environment.HOW TO APPLY?
