Environmental Technician position - full time Stratus Engineering Associates is an environmental engineering firm seeking a field technician for groundwater monitoring for our Northern California projects. We are a growing company, full-service environmental engineering and consulting firm, with a lot of experience in the field. We require an energetic candidate with high attention to detail. The job involves a lot of driving, early mornings (to avoid traffic), and is very physical. We require someone who has strong communication skills and who can be counted on. Requirements and qualifications:

• A clean driving record and miminum high school diploma.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Must be able to work independently and reliably.
• Ability to manage and perform fieldwork including soil and groundwater sampling, well gauging, soil vapor sampling, indoor air sampling, landfill gas monitoring, surface water monitoring and general labor.
• Integrity in environmental sample collection.
• Ability to stay on top of company vehicle maintenance (i.e. oil changes, repairs, new tires when needed, car cleanliness, etc.).
• Field technicians are responsible for logging accurate meter readings, measurements, field conditions, etc. and submitting field logs.
• Accuracy and thoroughness of the above-mentioned field logs will be critical in generating accurate tables, figures, and reports, which are then evaluated by state regulatory agencies.
• Work in compliance with company policies and procedures.

From $26.00 per hour
