Environmental Field Technician Cañon City, CO - Full-Time Permanent About the Role Reporting to the Site Supervisor, this role is responsible for environmental sampling and monitoring at a former mine site near Canon City, CO. The sampling will involve different environmental media and the monitoring of the project site. Key Responsibilities Environmental sampling including groundwater, surface water, soils, vegetation, and air samples. Prepare samples for shipment. Documentation and proper filing of field records. Minor maintenance and daily calibration checks of sampling equipment. Pumping system inspections and totalizer readings. Ensure the cleanliness/safety of the site and use of proper Personal Protective Equipment. Related office tasks, including filing and reception on as a needed basis. Lead general care and maintenance activities for pumps and other environmental systems. Identify and recommend improvements to ensure assigned functions are efficient and cost-effective. Special projects as required. All other related duties as required. About You High School diploma or equivalent. Technical diploma or relevant work experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills, problem-solving, hands-on technical abilities; and teamwork. Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. Effective written and oral communication. Knowledge of maintenance and operation of mechanical equipment or systems.
